Help Feed Someone

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Have you ever been hungry? No I mean really hungry…

So many in our community are affected by hunger which is often invisible, it may be that of a friend, family member, or neighbor. Since 1986, it has been the simple and singular reason why Someone Cares Soup Kitchen has proudly served a hot, nutritional meal to over 300 guests per day, seven days a week in an effort to eliminate hunger in our community. We are living in a time where there are indeed many hungry folks, who may be living on a fixed income or even unemployed, who at this time desperately need our help.

Did you know… that we offer so much more than a hot meal? In fact, last year we were able to provide:

Over 300,000 meals served to anyone hungry or at risk of going hungry. In Orange County, a shocking 1 in 5 children goes hungry each night. We are able to provide each meal for a mere $1.33.

Referrals to a variety of safety-net services including; employment training, emergency shelter, health care services, and mental health resources. With proven success, our guests are able to attain and/or maintain self-sufficiency.

Provide an after-school tutoring program for 45 students in K-4th grade attending Pomona Elementary School. We are proud to report a 100% success rate to date for all students attending.

We have been the author of many of the success stories that continue to flourish with our assistance. Please know that you are directly responsible for many of the success stories we have, due to your diligent help throughout the years.

With this in mind, I ask that you consider a financial gift today to support both the hunger relief program, after-school tutoring program, and family food distribution program. Whether your gift is big or small, we thank you in advance and please know that we are able to maximize the gift in the most prudent and efficient manner.

All financial donations are tax-deductible and you will receive a donation receipt upon request. You have the option of donating online or mailing us a check. Please make all checks out to Someone Cares Soup Kitchen and earmark check as a charitable donation. You may send checks to our mailing address at:
